Energy Projects
- Principal Planner and Marketing Advisor to Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corp. and the State of Wisconsin on the statewide residential efficiency efforts, Wisconsin Focus on Energy. Assists with overall administrative planning and planning the six program offerings statewide. Provides overall marketing advising for the effort. Provides review and interface with the evaluations of the programs. Advises on management systems to help with implementation of the programs.
- Guest Author for E Source conducting research and writing two reports for the large commercial customer series: New Construction Programs: Get to the Table Early for Your Share of the Pie, and Developing Happily-Ever-After Relationships with Large Commercial Accounts.
- Principal Consultant for the development of Residential Marketing Plan including New Products and Services. Assisted an electric utility with the development of residential marketing plans which included demand side management programs, customer retention programs, and new products and services offerings.
- Principal Consultant for redesign of Performance Contracting Program. Principal Consultant to dual fuel company on major performance contracting program that pays customers for savings over a 10-year contract period. Study included the documentation of existing process, developing flow charts and tasks for all steps in process, optimization of staff assignments, and recommendations for program improvements. Recommendations on process improvements and staff changes were adopted immediately.
- Principal Consultant for a combined electric and gas company and their "Collaborative". The Collaborative is a committee of Interest groups, organizations and citizens who advise the Company on potential conservation and demand side management services. As the Principal Consultant, MMP developed the Collaborative program planning process, DSM programs, research efforts, and new program ideas. The scope of work since MMP began work with the program in 1994 has included: Design and Development of various education programs, low income weatherization services, refrigerator replacement programs, commercial audit programs, home energy audit services, library program, and other DSM services. Development of an overall program planning process for the Collaborative Board and the various interest groups. Research and evaluation of various new program options. Technology measures screening for Integrated Resource Planning. Market segmentation of customers. Management and quality control assistance with implementation of all programs.
- Project Manager and Market Researcher study and interview of Key Account Customers for five different gas and electric companies across the US. In-depth personal interviews were conducted with the company's largest industrial, commercial, health care, and government customers. Interviews were designed to look at perceptions of the utilities, potential new services, structure of marketing department, and retail wheeling threats. Results were used to help restructure the marketing and sales function and will be used for account planning and potential new services.
- Project Manager for the development of Gas Company Marketing Plan. Project Manager and lead planner for the development of the first marketing plan for a gas company's district operations. Also assisted with the training of Field Managers on sales management and planning. Plan resulted in exceeding goals for the first time in the Districts.
- Program Designer for a municipal utility's Commercial and Industrial Rebate Program. Designed both fixed rebate program and custom rebate program for larger customers. Program approved by Commission and being implemented in the field.
- Principal Consultant and Marketing Advisor to a Design/Build Architect and Construction firm. Developed marketing plan, strategic plan, competitor and market analysis, market research, budget planning, implementation and ongoing management assistance.
