Janet Brandt

Ms. Janet Brandt has over 25 years of experience in the design and delivery of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. Benefiting from a diverse set of management experiences within the energy industry, Ms. Brandt has assisted dozens of utility companies, consumer organizations, and state agencies in planning and implementing cost-effective program portfolios that have generated significant electric and natural gas resource savings across the U.S. and Canada. Ms. Brandt currently applies her extensive experience within her role as senior consultant with Morgan Marketing Partners.

Prior to her current consulting work, Ms. Brandt served as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation (WECC), a national leader in the design and implementation of award-winning energy savings programs for utilities, municipalities, regulators and legislators. During her decade of leadership at WECC, Ms. Brandt directed the design and administration of market-based energy efficiency and renewable energy programs for consumers, commercial businesses, farms, industry, schools, and local government. Ms. Brandt emphasized the importance of market partnerships, efficient administrative processes, and results-driven performance in delivering energy efficiency as a least-cost resource. Along with winning competitive bids to administer Wisconsin’s statewide Focus on Energy program, Ms. Brandt also worked with many utility clients including Duke Energy, Wisconsin Public Service, Minnesota Power, Alliant Energy, Vectren Energy Delivery, and We Energies.

Before assuming her executive role at WECC, Ms. Brandt was the Midwest Programs Manager for Honeywell DMC Services. In this capacity, Ms. Brandt managed energy efficiency and advanced metering program design and implementation for utility clients in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. She secured and managed the largest utility DSM contract in the firm’s history and was recognized as HDMC’s Employee of the Year for development of the first comprehensive quality assurance program applicable to all national operations. From 1983 to 1990, Janet played a prominent role in the establishment of Madison Gas & Electric’s conservation department and integrated resource planning process. As Residential Marketing Manager, she managed the design and delivery of over 25 efficiency programs and services targeting MG&E’s residential customers. 

Ms. Brandt holds Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Education from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She has served on the Board for the Association of Energy Service Professionals, Wisconsin’s Green Building Association, Energy Industry Representative on the Wisconsin Environmental Education Board, and current President of the Wisconsin Environmental Education Foundation. Ms. Brandt is a featured speaker at energy conferences throughout the country.
